I’ve been an IBM [S36/ S38/ AS400/ iSeries / i5] developer for nearly 40 years developing RPG and COBOL programs. I also have more than 2 decades experience using Synon [yeah most of us still call it that].
It’s amazing the amount of knowledge locked in old programs. Those requirements and processes can be unlocked, modernized and redeployed with graphical front-ends and still run on the dependable hardware of the i5.
